Don't forget that Thursday, September 4th, is the day that we can all go to the town hall to nominate our fellow residents to run as candidates in the municipal election! If you're looking for information on how the process works, here's a link to the Guide for Municipal Elections in Newfoundland where you can find all the details. The quick info: Arrive at the Town Hall between 8am and 8pm Bring a $10 fee- you can pay by cash or card Have the Nominator, Seconder, and Candidate go together to sign the papers in person- the forms are available at the Town Hall to fill in while you're there Bring ID Start campaigning! Good luck to everyone who's stepping up to the plate.

Running for Town Council is your opportunity to help represent your neighbours and shape the direction of the community you live in! Nomination Day: Thursday, September 4th, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, Wesleyville What’s Required: Town Nominators Completed Nomination form $10 nomination fee (non-refundable) So- who wants to sit around the semicircle that is the council chambers this fall?  It's a big job to take on, full of possibilities of good and bad for four years.  As we have seen from our current council, it can get pretty challenging sometimes, so if you're worried about people gossiping about you or you don't think it's worth the reading and knowledge required, don't accept a nomination.  Dealing with the general public can be very hard to do, and we all have to take care of our own ment...
