Introduction

Greetings!

We are citizens of New-Wes-Valley.

We love where we live, but sometimes we wonder if the local municipality is acting in the best interests of the people, and we want to offer up a democratic way to discuss the issues at hand here online.  We are Concerned Citizens.

We want to feel a sense that we are all working together for a common good, helping minorities as well as the majorities, and planning for a diverse and exciting future here in New-Wes-Valley.

This site is meant as a tool to reach out to all stakeholders in our town, including the many people who do not wish to use Facebook.  Here's how you can take part:
  • comment on posts
  • email your thoughts to newwesvalleycitizens.haveyoursay@blogger.com for publication
  • share this webpage with other citizens of New-Wes-Valley
  • attend municipal meetings- see the calendar for when the meetings are happening
  • share information about your business, organization, or event that's happening in New-Wes-Valley to promote local support
  • attend concerned citizens meetings in person (they'll be added to our calendar at the bottom of the main page)
  • ask questions
  • offer suggestions
  • make corrections
Let's start building a kinder and smarter place to live by working together!

  3. This group is ridiculous. Attacking the Town office based on what ground? Sounds like a bunch of Redneck complainers who have nothing better do to. The real concern on our area should be the amount of Drugs coming in. The speeding and impaired drivers all around town. One member of this so called group is the biggest poacher the gander loop as ever seen. Have to shake my head on this one

    1. We disagree with you, Anonymous. We have not attacked the Town Council in any way. It is perfectly reasonable as citizens to have our say in a democratic municipal government.

We do agree that a stronger police presence is needed to cut down on things like dangerous driver behavior, and we feel that the current Town Council is trying to encourage the RCMP to provide that.

If you would like to report a poacher in the area, you can call 1-877-820-0999 to speak to a Fisheries, Forestry, and Agriculture Officer 24/7.

Thank you for adding your voice to our democratic platform.
